Progress!

We have proven that we don't in fact need Mom here to get things done around the house (but she is of course welcome at any time....as is anyone reading this blog)! Joey and I had a nice morning without any alarms. I got up and watched Le Tour de France and ate breakfast while Joey slept in. He woke up around eleven and we fixed lunch while we made a plan for the day. We have been so productive from then on!
First off, we have completely neglected laundry in the name of work, sleep, work, study, sleep...so we started laundry and then unloaded some boxes, pushed some others around to make ourselves feel better and then restarted our dining table project (which will probably be finished about the same time as the 3-lane project from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham).

As I write we are waiting on our Chinese food to be ready (I have been cooking this week but we are getting take-out tonight...don't judge). And the house progress comes to this: we finished painting the two chairs that were started when Mom and Dad were still here, we painted the underside of the table it's two coats and are waiting for it to dry so we can paint the top a final time, we taped and painted the first coat in the dining room, AND we are still doing laundry but have made it through several loads.

Not bad, huh?!

Tomorrow we are planning on trying a Methodist church down the street and seeing how we like that. I would like to get settled in a church by the time that Hayes comes. I am on call next weekend so I won't be able to go back or to a different one but then I don't have weekend call until after maternity leave!

Oh and one last house update: I found the frappin' microwave plate today!!! I thought for sure it had been a sacrifice of the move but alas, it has returned home to rest!

I love you all and miss you so incredibly much....I haven't had any body other than our immediate families reserve there AK's B&B slot for after Hayes comes but I know you will be sending them in soon!

I had the same problem with laundry. Your dad said he mistakenly sat on his laundry thinking it was his chair! Hahaha.

Sorry we didn't get all the painting taken care of. Really, though, painting the whole house and the furniture was a pretty hefty undertaking.

Remember, I do have my B&B confirmation number. Don't lose it! ;)

Hey Audra, you definitely need to leave out the part that you don't need mom. That's a no-no in "mom-dom!" My mother would've disowned me if I had ever said that. You'll be saying that to Addison one of these days! HA!
